Work has started at the Fernie Alpine Resort on a new feature adventure.
Along with the Mountain Bike Park, Fernie will also offer a 4 Zipline and 16 element Aerial Playground this summer.
Each tour will feature a training session and up to 3 hours of "tree-top fun."
Along with the new features, the Fernie Alpine Resort also offers activities such as the Mountain Bike Park, Hiking, Mountain Top Lunch, Sightseeing, Tennis and more.
Fernie's preview weekend is set for June 23 and June 24, while the official opening is June 29.

Robert Lemieux has been named director of sales & marketing for the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. Lemieux brings over 24 years of hotel and sales experience to the 511-room property. Most recently, he was director of sales and marketing at The Westin Harbour Castle and before that he'd been director of sales and marketing at The Westin Ottawa. Lemieux is a member of the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
Judy Adams has been appointed regional general manager for Coast Hotels & Resorts, while Amie Jansen has joined the hotel company as its regional sales manager for Alberta and NWT.
In her new capacity, Adams will be responsible for overseeing operations at the 220-room Coast Coal Harbour Hotel and 269-room Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites in Vancouver. A Vista Villa, a private mini-resort in the heart of BC’s Okanagan Valley, has recently introduced five-day packages that include day trips in the region. The resort, best known for reworking the B&B concept to include dinners (Breakfasts and Barbecues), will start operating the packages on the May long weekend. The recent partnership between Etihad Airways and airberlin has led to the launch of new connecting flights from Vancouver to Abu Dhabi, via Dusseldorf, Germany. Starting May 13, airberlin and Etihad will start Sunday flights from Vancouver to Abu Dhabi, and beyond to more than 70 destinations worldwide. The frequency will increase to twice a week from June 13 every Wednesday and Sunday until Oct. 21. The partnership allows Etihad Guest members to collect and redeem miles on all flights with Etihad and airberlin. (
